Meeting
Aims of the meeting
The meeting was called to discuss the problem of parking at ADMC. Our goal is to find the best solution to make the parking big enough for the number of the students cars. We had the best solution which is to build a parking building for students besides the F-block parking.
Minutes of the meeting
Date: 23-2-2010.
Time: 1:00 pm.
Place: F52.
In attendance:
1-Saif Al Khaili.
2-Salem Al Mazrouei
3-Faisal Al Dhaheri.
4- Ahmed AL Mansoori.
Agenda:
1-Discuss the problem of college parking.
2-Finding a solution for traffic congestion in the parking lot.
3-Discuss the solutions.
4-Agree with the best solution.
Saif called the meeting to order at 2 pm. The first item declared was:
1- Salem says that they should build a parking building in J-block.
2- We all disagreed with him because there is no space to build the building.
3- I suggested building the building in the F-block parking and they agreed with me.
4- Saif said that we have to expand the parking space because we have around 750 parking spaces and students are around 2125 so the students are more than the parking spaces.
5- I agreed with Saif but he had a better solution which is having the same number of parking spaces as the number of students.
Saif asked if there was AOB; he then closed the meeting at 1:30 p.m.
Reflection
I’m the secretary and the meeting went well and our chairman(Saif) controlled the meeting in the good time and we suggested many things which were good but some of them were bad which we disagreed with. We could improve our meeting by choosing a good place with a better agenda. I learnt many things e.g. that we must discuss many points and stick to the agenda and stick to a timetable, So if we have another meeting we will do much better.

Sultan AL Marzooqi
I’d like to introduce Sultan Al Marzooqi
Hi, my name is Faisal. Today I would like to introduce our classmate Sultan Al Marzooqi. I’m going to tell you about his hometown, family and his hobbies. Sultan was born in Abu Dhabi. However, he now lives in Bani yas. He has a big family. He has five bothers and six sisters. Sultan studies in the ADMC in his second year. He has many hobbies to do in his free time; one of his favorite hobbies is that he plays football. He’s also a member of the team in the college.
His ambition is to be a successful businessman, perhaps manager of a private company.
His best holiday was when he went to Saudi Arabia, last year with his family. He went to Saudi Arabia for the first time and he liked it because he went to the biggest mosque in the world and he saw the Kabah.
He thinks the best thing about ADMC is the teaching in the English class is much better than in other Universities. He likes the English class because he improved many things in the English for example, in writing and reading.
And the worst thing is the parking is not enough for the students and the parking is small for our cars.
Now you know a little about Sultan, his hometown, family and free-time activities.

Flow
There are three important and essential needs in our life, which help us to continue living, and they are water, air, and food. Without water, no one can live long; without air, no one can breathe and without food, no one can sustain longer. In this essay I will discuss about one of the needs, which is water. I will focus on the current water crisis all over the world, and how it is affecting us badly. From where do we get the water or in other word what is the water cycle? It is the constant exchange or movement of water, which starts from evaporation from all water sources such as oceans, sea, land, plants, animals, etc. Then it moves to the air, where the precipitation process occurs from water vapor and falls to earth or ocean. After that, the water usually runs off from the land reaching the sea, and all these process will constantly repeat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water).Looking at the importance of water, makes us wonder what the consequences will be if the water is polluted or misused or there isn’t enough water left. Any cause of water crisis would lead to severe consequences in both the short-term and long-term. For example if there isn’t enough safe water for 884 million people all over the world, this might cause lots of death. Another example is the shortage of water for sanitation and waste discarding for large numbers of people. The overuse of groundwater, might lead to diminishing the agricultural yield. The pollution and overdraft of water resources would harm the environment including the Human beings. Speaking of pollution, there are four unhealthily water cycles we have, such as sewage, rivers, aquifers, and public water supply (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_crisis#cite_note-6) .Everybody will be affected by this pollution, but who is affected the most in this world will be the poor countries. This is because they cannot afford money to get pure and safe water. For example, “in India more than 2 million people die every year from waterborne diseases most of them are children below 5 years of age.”(Steven Starr, 2008).Is it fair to charge them money, whereas the money comes from the ground? Or is it fair for some companies to sell products that require water to developing countries, not educating them on how to use it in a safe way. For example Nestle Company has sold their product to poor countries, knowing that these people don’t have pure water. As a result, many kids have died drinking nestle milk, which is mixed with dirty water. I would say that, water is one of the important needs in our life; this is because the human body needs 70% of water to form well. The shortage of water, has affected us in a bad way (http://www.elements4health.com/water.html) . I believe the all of us are responsible. This is because we are all using water and if we misuse the water or overdraft the water, it will lead in the end to a shortage of water. I think that not many people are aware of it, and in my opinion I think that government needs to raise the people's awareness through advertisements, and providing courses to young people.
