Meeting

Aims of the meeting

The meeting was called to discuss the problem of parking at ADMC. Our goal is to find the best solution to make the parking big enough for the number of the students cars. We had the best solution which is to build a parking building for students besides the F-block parking.

Minutes of the meeting

Date: 23-2-2010.

Time: 1:00 pm.

Place: F52.

In attendance:

1-Saif Al Khaili.
2-Salem Al Mazrouei
3-Faisal Al Dhaheri.
4- Ahmed AL Mansoori.

Agenda:
1-Discuss the problem of college parking.
2-Finding a solution for traffic congestion in the parking lot.
3-Discuss the solutions.
4-Agree with the best solution.

Saif called the meeting to order at 2 pm. The first item declared was:
1- Salem says that they should build a parking building in J-block.
2- We all disagreed with him because there is no space to build the building.
3- I suggested building the building in the F-block parking and they agreed with me.
4- Saif said that we have to expand the parking space because we have around 750 parking spaces and students are around 2125 so the students are more than the parking spaces.
5- I agreed with Saif but he had a better solution which is having the same number of parking spaces as the number of students.

Saif asked if there was AOB; he then closed the meeting at 1:30 p.m.

Reflection

I’m the secretary and the meeting went well and our chairman(Saif) controlled the meeting in the good time and we suggested many things which were good but some of them were bad which we disagreed with. We could improve our meeting by choosing a good place with a better agenda. I learnt many things e.g. that we must discuss many points and stick to the agenda and stick to a timetable, So if we have another meeting we will do much better.

Sultan AL Marzooqi

I’d like to introduce Sultan Al Marzooqi

Hi, my name is Faisal. Today I would like to introduce our classmate Sultan Al Marzooqi. I’m going to tell you about his hometown, family and his hobbies. Sultan was born in Abu Dhabi. However, he now lives in Bani yas. He has a big family. He has five bothers and six sisters. Sultan studies in the ADMC in his second year. He has many hobbies to do in his free time; one of his favorite hobbies is that he plays football. He’s also a member of the team in the college.

His ambition is to be a successful businessman, perhaps manager of a private company.

His best holiday was when he went to Saudi Arabia, last year with his family. He went to Saudi Arabia for the first time and he liked it because he went to the biggest mosque in the world and he saw the Kabah.

He thinks the best thing about ADMC is the teaching in the English class is much better than in other Universities. He likes the English class because he improved many things in the English for example, in writing and reading.

And the worst thing is the parking is not enough for the students and the parking is small for our cars.

Now you know a little about Sultan, his hometown, family and free-time activities.
